Working with wood is an extremely rewarding experience. Whether you want to make toys for kids you know, or make a present for a family member, or make a fidget spinner for yourself, working with wood gives you an opportunity to work with your hands to create something that will last a lifetime...and longer.  To get the most out of your wood working experience, and to become a Wood Master, you should understand how a certain type of wood came into your hands - where it started, how it was harvested and turned into boards, and what makes different kinds of wood special for different projects.
